I never set out to write a novel ~ but a prompt in a memoir-writing group planted the seed.

I wanted to bring history to life without being tedious, 

to stir fond memories in older generations while giving

younger ones a window into a world they never knew.

Most of all, I wanted to give weight to our ancestors

who, if we become still enough to listen, send

us the messages we need to hear.

 

Reader feedback has been more rewarding 

than I can describe.
